Exploring London – Photo Diary

Our best friends moved to London a few years ago, and it was definitely time to see each other again… Or to be honest, The Hubster was starting to have withdrawals from not seeing Roberto for such a long period in their 20 -something year friendship. They spoiled us by making plans to explore London and going to Paris too. But more on Paris in the next post.

On our way there:

The Hubster is a very nervous flyer. So drinks were a must if I didn’t want my hand crushed with take-off.

I didn’t feel like typing 700 words about our holiday. You can get that anywhere on the Net. But a picture speaks more than a 1000 words. It’s such a beautiful country with the nicest people ever.

I would like to thank “Stoffies” for being our tour guide. Because without him, the rest of us would most probably be lost in Iraq right now. Hahaha! He definitely deserves 5 stars. *****

Please stay safe out there, Covid is no joke. xxx

12 of the best Christmas movies you need to watch

Happy November! This year has passed by with an alarming speed. And now it’s almost time for the Festive Season with all the craziness that it brings. I know, if you are anything like my husband, you might think I’m crazy because it’s only the beginning of November. But let me inform you Grinches, I have been listening to Christmas Music from the beginning of October! So this list comes as no surprise to those who know me.

Staying in for a movie night during the holiday season is one of our traditions, which I forced my husband into. Haha! And along with Christmas movies and Christmas songs, what better way to feel festive?

So whether you’re having a family movie night, an at-home-date-night, or just feeling festive, watching Christmas movies is a fun and affordable way to get everyone in a holiday-festive mood!

Here are some of our favourites:

  • The Nightmare before Christmas
  • The Polar Express
  • Elf
  • How the Grinch Stole Christmas
  • Home Alone 1 & 2
  • Four Christmases
  • Christmas with The Kranks
  • The Santa Clause 1, 2 & 3
  • The Family Stone
  • Love actually
  • Love the Coopers
  • Deck The Halls

Hopefully, this list of our best Christmas movies provides you with enough choices to create a Movie Night Tradition just like ours.

As a bonus, here are some movies you might like which didn’t reach our list of favourites.

  • Miracle on 34th Street
  • It’s a Wonderful Life
  • A Charlie Brown Christmas
  • Rudolf The Red Nosed Reindeer
  • Christmas Vacation
  • Jack Frost
  • The Year Without a Santa Claus
  • ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas
  • Frosty the Snowman
  • I’ll be home for Christmas
  • A Christmas Carol
  • Jingle All The Way

And if this list is still not enough, I’m sure Netflix will have a couple (a million) of Christmas Movies to watch. ♥
